If you are a native of northeastern Pennsylvania, you've probably never heard of a Rescue Mission.  There are over 300 Rescue Mission's across America and 10 in Pennsylvania (click on www.agrm.org to see a complete listing).  We do much more than feed the homeless.  We "rescue" people by intervening in their moment of crisis--homelessness, addiction, abuse, release from prison, etc.

THE GOAL- To take men through a highly structured residential Christian Discipleship Program (we call it LifeChange). The program will take a year to complete and is very comprehensive as it encompasses spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical components of the human life.  Our goal is to take a broken life and restore it to a life that honors Jesus Christ.

If you watch shows like "Extreme Home Makeover" or "The Biggest Loser" you would enjoy the work of the Scranton Rescue Mission and Wyoming Valley Rescue Mission
